Ria-O is a visual artist based in Bavaria, Germany.
Her work explores relationships between materials, objects, surroundings and the people encountering them.
Working with everyday and often overlooked materials such as cardboard, textiles, threads, packaging and found objects, she investigates how arrangement, tension, perspective and context can change the way things are perceived.
Her practice moves between mixed-media objects, photography and spatial works, increasingly extending from the object into the surrounding space.
Rather than offering fixed interpretations, Ria-O creates situations that invite different ways of seeing and experiencing.
